Position Specific Description

Our Corporate Financial Analyst II in our treasury group is responsible for daily corporate liquidity management operations activities. The Analyst II provides and presents recommendations on decisions and actions while identifying cost savings opportunities. This role provides opportunities to participate on cross functional teams to support capital markets activity and interact with our many NextEra financial institution representatives.

Daily responsibilities include setting cash positions, disbursing funds, short term borrowing & investing, along with forecasting. Other tasks may include bank account setup and maintenance, analysis of investment and commercial paper borrowing programs, bank fee analysis and negotiation,assistance in variance analysis, and treasury related invoice processing. Our ideal analyst will have a high attention to detail, effective communication, and strong organization abilities. Individuals showing a passion for learning is required to be successful in this role, with achievements of an MBA, CPA, or other relevant graduate degree being highly desired.

Job Overview

This position works with internal and external groups to perform due diligence and asset valuations of various corporate financing projects. This position works as a Subject Matter Expert in the planning and coordination of work assignments to identify and analyze the impact of relevant financing projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works with internal and external groups to analyze various financial projects such as mergers and acquisitions
  • Builds, enhances and maintains complex financial models
  • Proposes strategies to maximize the financial performance of the company
  • Supports project and corporate capitalization processes with due diligence, identification of key risks and mitigants, and cash flow analyses
  • Makes recommendations on financing decisions and executes long and/or short term financings
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 1+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's - Accounting / Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
