The Role:
Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a QA Analytical Chemist I I to join our team.
If hired into this role, you will work the following hours: 3rd Shift-- Sunday-Thursday,10pm-6:30am.
The QA Chemist is responsible for conducting QA testing and will provide analytical support to production of our Micro-contamination control and membrane products as well as for R&D development . The QA chemist will prepare and test samples using Ion Chromatography, TOC, FTIR, NVR, Karl Fischer and ICP-MS.
What You'll Do :
- Work in a clean room environment to c onduct routine QA product testing of filtration and membrane products from manufacturing.
- Participate in conversations around non-routine testing and conduct testing once method is established .
- Follow and document standard operating procedures for conducting required tests.
- Prepare samples for analysis and load instrumentation.
- Analyze and interpret test data, maintain documentation of test operation and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Perform preventative maintenance and trouble-shoot equipment.
- Remove and dispose of waste chemicals in accordance with company established safety procedures.
- Handle requests appropriately and in a timely manner .
What We Seek :
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline
- A minimum of 2 years of relative work experience.
- Strong scientific approach and high attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate and successfully work in a team environment.
- Able to work independently and follow established priorities.
- Ability to work 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday,10pm-6:30am.
Outstanding Candidates Will Have :
- Ability to collaborate and work successfully in a team environment while completing individual projects .
- Established experience running analytical instrumentation is preferred .
- Highly preferred but not required :
- ICPMS experience
- Experience within an ISO 9000 work environment
- Cleanroom experience
