The XBR Systems Engineering Team Product Owner (PO) role is responsible for the execution of a subset of SE scope for the XBR program. This includes task planning to create milestones and schedules and managing competing priorities. Typical activities executed by the teams include algorithm/requirements development, testing, analysis, support to software development/integration, and customer presentations. The successful candidate will be expected to build the team’s abilities and be able to work with both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities to Anticipate :
Product Ownership: Act as the primary point of contact for the team, responsible for defining, prioritizing, and executing task plans
Product Quality and Escalation: Partner closely with XBR SW and SE development teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of team products and services and escalating concerns as appropriate XBR IPT and CPT
Prioritization: Prioritize tasks based on customer feedback, and technical feasibility, ensuring the team works on high-priority items
Requirements Gathering: Elicit and document product requirements to provide a clear understanding for development teams
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and development teams, to ensure everyone is aligned with the product vision
Roadmap Development: Work with XBR IPT and CPT on creating and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the delivery schedule and milestones along with future development paths
Program Increment (PI) Planning: Participate in PI planning, including prioritization of tasks, sprint planning, and coordination of cross-team dependencies in a scaled Agile framework environment.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically a minimum of 5+ years engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree and equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; or an Advanced degree
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Electronic Protection or Signal Processing development
Experience in an agile environment
Experience with Engineering tools (e.g MATLAB)
