Eaton’s Power Distribution Controls & Assemblies division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This role is located out of Omaha, NE. Relocation assistance will be provided within the US. 

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $​​​​80,250 - $117,700  a year.

Provide a broad knowledge of seasoned professional engineering support to manufacturing operations and plant facility maintenance. Drive continuous improvement in overall product line operations performance through the application of sound engineering decisions, lean tools, Six Sigma technologies and project leadership. Documentation and execution of major projects and assignments within the manufacturing, warranty and engineering functions. 




What you’ll do:






  • Take full responsibility for various interconnected functions, facilities, products, and activities.

  • Support both line and staff personnel to develop solutions for product and manufacturing challenges across a complete line of apparatus.

  • Day-to-day activities will include initiating and preparing specifications for products, equipment, tooling, processes, and systems to achieve optimal cost and quality manufacturability.

  • Design, develop, justify, and guide the installation of new engineering concepts, equipment, tooling, processes, and systems through appropriate procedures to achieve and maintain optimal manufacturing costs. This includes outlining the required workflow and material handling devices, such as storage areas, work areas, and workplace layout, to ensure efficient operations.

  • Assist in our continuous improvement culture by leading improvement events and activities.

  • Deploy Lean, Quality, and Environment/Safety tools to enhance productivity, quality, and safety. This involves identifying areas for improvement in productivity, quality, and business processes, developing and implementing solutions, and monitoring the results.

  • Assist hourly personnel and supervisors in improving their operations and plan, coordinate, and oversee changes and upgrades to the manufacturing facility 





Basic (Required) Qualifications:






  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in manufacturing environment 

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience leading continuous improvement/lean manufacturing initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future





Preferred Qualifications:






  • Minimum of five (5) year’s work experience in manufacturing environment with focus on manufacturing engineering

  • Possess a Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

  • Industrial or manufacturing engineering degree preferred
