JOB SUMMARY
FGS Oil & Gas Sales Manager /Permian Basin. (Work from Home location options: Midland/Odessa, areas surrounding these locations)
Reporting to Sales Director or Sale VP of Western Hemisphere, Oil and Gas.
Description:
The individual in this role is responsible for meeting the sales objectives for Fiber Glass System business unit within NOV in the assigned region and customers. The individual will be responsible for coordinating sales activity in the region with independent area sales managers, representatives & distributors, developing project specific sales strategies and communicating project requirements to the company's manufacturing operations, construction divisions and management team.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve Fiber Glass Systems O&G Sales and Business development objectives for the assigned region and Customer.
- Lead FGS sales on Spoolable and Jointed Fiberglass Pipe as well as Fiberglass Tanks.
- Target new customers, new applications and follow on sales leads.
- Instruct distributors, contractors and customers concerning product applications
- Visit customer facilities and/or construction jobsites to monitor project progress and customer satisfaction.
- Investigate product complaints and assist customers and distributors in finding satisfactory solutions to sales and service problems
- Remain current in knowledge of competitive activities including product lines, pricing, services, market penetration.
- Participate in trade shows, customer events within FGS and NOV
- Assists in establishing a realistic sales quota for the assigned district/Customer; generates and maintains sales volume to meet or exceed established quota; prepares sales forecasts.
- 5-10 years of relevant technical sales experience calling on customers.
- 4-6 years experience on Piping Industry. Fiberglass Piping, Fiberglass Spoolable Pipe.
- Experience managing independent representatives and distributors.
- Bachelor's Degree (Engineering or Material Science or Industrial Technology or Business Administration or any equivalent University technical degree) is preferred.
- Work may require evening and weekend work
- Previous customer-facing experience
- Candidate must be able to work independently in a home-based office.
- Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills to include the ability to provide group presentations in a seminar environment.
- Significant domestic travel is required.
- Valid US driver's license and safe driving history
- Overnight Travel required 25%
- Technical knowledge and / or experience with FRP composites and or Thermoplastic lined FRP composites used in Oil & Gas preferred.
