Material Control Clerk - Military Veterans

The Material Control Clerk performs all aspects of ordering, receiving, storing and issuing of spare parts needed for the repair of USAF vehicle assets. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Principal Accountabilities

  • Completes parts orders to include completion of AFTO Form 2005, DynMRO actions or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) activities related to control of required parts.
  • Receives parts/materials from supply and other sources.
  • Inspects parts for serviceability, quantity and confirms correct items.
  • Correctly locates parts in storage facilities and records location.
  • Maintains parts in a serviceable condition.
  • Records by computer all deferred and Vehicle Down for Parts (VDP) parts.
  • Periodically reconciles listings with actual holdings.
  • Able to understand, collate and upload contents to the contract Data Management System (DMS) requiring reference to various sources.
  • Must be qualified in the use of computers with a working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • May be required to obtain and retain access to other USG systems in performance of assigned duties (may include DPAS Warehouse Module or other future systems as introduced).
  • Operates light weight forklifts.
  • Assists in compiling data for monthly reports.
  • Performs general clerical duties such as typing and filing.
  • Retrieves and issues parts on request.
  • Ensures all Amentum health and safety and hazardous material storage instructions are complied with.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works in maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.

Minimum Requirements
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an intermediate level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
  • Must have the ability to exercise initiative, judgement and know-how in the performance of sometimes complex/confidential clerical duties.
  • Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
  • Will be required to operate material handling equipment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have one year experience working in Supply or a related field.
  • May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
  • Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.
  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs. and performing extensive work handling/lifting equipment.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat preferred.
