Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Sensor SME to join our growing team! In this role you will support the Parsons Universal Modeling & Analysis (PUMA) Lab as well as a direct project (e.g. Air Base Air Defense (ABAD)). You will be working closely with our ABAD client to continue the customization of our PDEF deployment into their environment, and use PDEF to perform tasks such as sensor coverage analysis and optimization. The Sensor Subject Matter Expert should also be comfortable (and have experience in) working within an Agile Environment. https://www.parsons.com/jadc2/pdef/

The candidate should also be prepared to travel at least once a quarter to Ramstein, Germany for on-site work (1-2 weeks each for each travel).

What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Coordinate a team of MBSE and Analysis Personnel / Activities supporting ABAD

  • Developing high fidelity sensor models

  • Perform Sensor Coverage Analysis and Optimization. E.g., Sensor Sighting

  • Perform Engagement, Threat, & Sensor Modeling

  • Perform MBSE Architecture Development

  • Perform Trade Studies and Analytics associated with Air Base Air Defense - travel to Europe will be required

  • Perform Command and Control Studies and Analysis


What Required Skills You’ll Bring:


  • Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering, Physics, or related field

  • 12+ years of combined experience in the different areas of responsibilities

  • MBSE Knowledge & Experience

  • Digital Twin Development Experience

  • Requirements Engineering Experience

  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Experience

  • Required Knowledge and Experience with the following Tools: Cameo Systems Modeler, Ansys ModelCenter, STK, & HFSS, AFSIM / EADSIM (AFSIM Preferred)

  • Active SECRET clearance OR eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance in a reasonable timeframe.

What Desired Skills You Might Bring:


  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Physics, or related field

  • Certification in Systems Engineer (CSEP)

  • Experience with MATLAB

  • Knowledgeable of Digital Engineering Ecosystems design

Salary Range: 

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
