Position: Quality Engineer
Location: The Boeing Company, Everett, WA



Job Duties: 
Lead integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provide interpretation of complex requirements. Develop quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Develop Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities. Lead various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Develop and selects methods for analysis, testing and auditing to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Assist in the development of new standards of repairs for non-conformances. Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Develop and implement corrective actions. Perform benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 8 years of related work experience of which 5 years must be progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience.



Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:



•    Applying quality systems requirements and Industrial Quality Standards including AS9100 and AS9102;
•    Using Excel, including pivot tables and formula creation, and Powerpoint, including presentation and animation creation;
•    Using and applying Risk Assessment Methodologies and conducting supplier audits in any of the following: Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (“DFMEA”), Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (“PFMEA”), Advanced Product Quality Planning (“APQP”), product audits, process audits, system audits, OR supplier capability and capacity assessments; 
•    Applying Root Cause Corrective Action models in either 5 whys method OR Fishbone diagram method;
•    Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, including blueprints and schematic readings and airplane engineering technical documents;
•    Engineering Process Improvement Methods, producibility and process improvement methodologies in statistical process control and 6-Sigma; and
•    Industrial aerospace supply chain and product quality validation processes including First Article Inspection and Product Acceptance Inspection Techniques.



Telecommuting is permitted 80%.



Travel required up to 15%.



Pursuant to the Revised Code of Washington to provide the salary range, the offered wage for this role is $134,030 per year.
