Post-Doctoral Associate - Department of Microbiology and Immunology - Military Veterans

This position will study the role of antigen in regulating resident and exhausted memory T cell differentiation and maintenance using gene editing approaches. Techniques include cell isolation from nonlymphoid tissues, flow cytometry, quantitative immunofluorescence microscopy, mRNA isolation, cell transfers, gene editing, IHC.
Responsibilities Include:
Research - 80%
Design and execution of experiments and collection of data.
Presenting and Instruction - 20%
Present research summary for various publication.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have an M.D., experience in resident memory T cell biology, murine T cell gene editing, and infection models. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise in developing scientific protocols and hypotheses, scientific writing, and outstanding letters of reference.
Preferred Qualifications:
Lymphocyte isolate from nonlymphoid tissues, knowledge of liver physiology, flow cytometry.
