Data Protection Team Lead - Military Veterans

• Collaborate with the CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team) and Security Engineering team to expand and mature detections.


• Hands on experience with CASB, DLP, Web Proxy, SIEM, CSPM, File and Removable media protection tools (FRP).


• Hands on experience with Data Classification policies and technologies to address data leakage.


• Support management of eDiscovery software at the administrative level


• Collaborate within the SOC and across IT to mature SOC playbooks, alerting, processes, and Incident Response actions.

Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related discipline.


• Proven leadership skills, with demonstratable experience in coaching and mentoring junior members within a small team.


• Ideal candidates will have prior experience in successfully elevating the maturity of a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program to a robust level, demonstrating the ability to build and develop the program while significantly increasing its maturity.


• Minimum of 6+- years of experience in roles related to cyber security operations or DLP operations.


• Information Security Certification preferred (GCIH, CYSA+, CeH, etc)


• Experience with the following technologies: EPP/EDR, CASB, DLP


• Demonstrate a proficient understanding of the EDRM and eDiscovery best practices.


• Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies.


• Knowledge of general attack stages, attacker Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTPs), and defense models.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Enthusiasm for learning.

The WWT Information Security (InfoSec) team is currently searching for a Data Protection Team Lead to join the Security Operations Team. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for leading a small team responsible for identifying and investigating data loss events, insider threat events, collaborating with the Security Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Security teams to mitigate threats, and engaging with Information Security leadership to shape future strategy and direction. 

Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

• Lead a small team of professionals responsible for Insider Threat, DLP, and E-Discovery investigations for the WWT enterprise.


• Be a technical subject matter expert (SME) responsible for enterprise-wide Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls to include policies, procedures & implementation, working directly with other IT teams to drive information protection initiatives.


• Effectively obtain support and drive adoption of the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program across the organization through strategic communication, comprehensive training, and stakeholder engagement.
