Job Description:

We are GDIT. There is no challenge we can't turn into an opportunity. And our work depends on a Director of Corporate Development with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions. The role will span the full M&A lifecycle, from target identification to diligence to post-closing integration.

This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence 2-3 days per week located at GDIT's headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, reporting directly to GDIT's Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Development.

HOW A DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Serve as a leader for the company across all aspects of M&A transaction processes, spanning from target identification to diligence of possible acquisitions and through closing and post-closing integration

Work closely with strategy and business personnel to support M&A strategy and identify potential acquisition targets

Lead all aspects of the company's diligence process, including planning, execution and leadership reviews in coordination with business and functional leaders

Identify potential risks associated with transactions and work with business and functional leaders to assess and mitigate risks

Build partnerships with business and functional teams to enhance transaction processes and understand strategic priorities

Perform analyses, make recommendations, and lead cross-functional teams to facilitate integration and restructuring of operations after a merger, acquisition or divestiture has taken place

Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree in business or equivalent preferred
Required Experience: Eight (8+) years of total experience, preferably in corporate development/M&A, with meaningful hands-on transaction experience at all stages of M&A transactions; Aerospace & Defense industry experience preferred.
Excellent deal process management, problem solving and organizational skills; proven track record of leading deal teams

Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization

Ability to work proactively in complex and fast-paced environments with multiple projects and priorities

Exemplary attention to detail in all aspects of work product

Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance preferred
Location: Falls Church, Virginia office

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
