Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach undergraduate courses in Kinesiology and graduate courses in Athletic Training.  Appointments are for August 2024-May 2025 with the possibility of renewal depending on available funding and performance. Faculty in the Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health provide a quality learning experience for students, supervise student research projects, serve on institutional committees, and are committed to diversity and inclusive excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited athletic training program.  Certified and in good standing as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) with at least five years of clinical experience as an Athletic Trainer.  Licensed and in good standing (or eligible) as an Athletic Trainer (LAT) by the state of Ohio’s Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board.  Master’s degree in any field combined with a clinical athletic training graduate assistantship or post-professional Master’s degree in Athletic Training for appointment as Visiting Instructor.  Doctorate in a Kinesiology-related field, by date of appointment, for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor.

Consideration may be given to candidates with: 1) experience teaching a variety of kinesiology and/or athletic training courses at the college level; 2) experience teaching within a CAATE-accredited athletic training program with working knowledge of CAATE accreditation standards and the 2020 CAATE Curricular Content; 3) experience serving as a clinical preceptor for a CAATE-accredited athletic training program; 4) a clinically-oriented certification (e.g., ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist); 5) experience working with multicultural and/or diverse populations; 6) experience teaching hybrid or fully online as well as face-to-face courses.
