Summary:

The Audiology Extern will be in the fourth year of their doctoral program. The extern will have the education, knowledge and skill to provide inpatients and outpatients with the following services: evaluation of hearing, case management of children with hearing loss, hearing aid evaluations and fittings. This includes patient and caregiver education and consultation with licensed professionals, clinics and agencies. Documentation of these services will be according to department policies. The Audiology Extern will comply with the requirements of their university program working to complete all clinical competencies and experiences with the supervision of their CCMC preceptor.

Qualifications:


  • Current enrollment in fourth year of doctoral program in Audiology with an accredited university - completed required coursework


  • State license or eligible for intern license in audiology


  • BLS certification within 30 days of employment required
