We are seeking a Software Engineer with expertise with Java Springboot to join our Personal Risk Services (PRS) team. You'll play an active role in building full stack solutions with modern technologies to build and implement innovative, robust, and scalable web solutions that reimagine what's possible within our technical ecosystem. Through it all, you'll have the opportunity to partner with and learn from your leadership team and senior engineers, along with business stakeholders, to connect the what to the why. You'll be part of our future as we identify, build, and implement innovative solutions that enhance the overall user experience for our business and agency partners.

In this role, you will:

  • Be the Senior Engineer developing front-end web apps using Angular, HTML, and CSS
  • Design, Build and maintain APIs / back-end capabilities using Java Springboot
  • Build and maintain queries against SQL / No SQL databases as part of the API build
  • Mentor Junior Engineers to enable them with full stack development
  • Perform peer code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective application development
  • Ensure optimal performance and functionality of APIs / applications



  • A minimum of 6 years of experience as hands-on full stack software engineer

  • Experience in development of REST based APIs using Open API specification

  • Experience working within a tech stack inclusive of Java, Springboot, Angular, DBMS' (SQL Server, Cosmos/MongoDB), HTML, and/or CSS

  • Experience delivering code to CI/CD enabled repositories

  • Perform complex troubleshooting of critical problem tickets, resolving defects in existing production software and provide root-cause analysis

  • Hands-on experience working with code quality and code coverage tools/frameworks (i.e. SonarQube)

  • Experience in caching technologies and search a plus

  • Experience with Azure cloud solutions a plus

  • Experience with deploying solutions to Kubernetes and/or Docker containers a plus

  • Experience with or exposure to AI/GenAI is a plus

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline strongly preferred


In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $87,500 to $149,500. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
