How will you make a difference?

Wabtec is looking for a ServiceNow Developer who has strong technical abilities, a sound understanding of ITIL processes, experience working on a Scrum team, hands-on ITOM experience, and excellent ServiceNow development skills. This position will focus on deploying and maintaining the CMDB and CSDM service models and all supporting processes. Knowledge of infrastructure and application architecture are beneficial but not required. Additionally, the developer will aid the platform support team in other development efforts as needed.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering, related programs, or equivalent experience.
    • 3+ years' experience in ServiceNow development

    • ServiceNow Discovery Fundamentals
    • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist
    • ServiceNow Advanced System Administration
    • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
    • SharePoint Certification Administrator/Designer
    • ITIL v4 Foundation and knowledge of ITSM best practices preferred
    • Actively seeks next-gen certifications/knowledge pertinent to the role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • 3+ years as a ServiceNow Developer
  • Extensive knowledge of JavaScript
  • Familiarity with UI, SQL, HTML and CSS
  • Application integrations using APIs, web services, scripts, transform maps, etc
  • Scoped Applications
  • ITOM: CMDB, Service Mapping, Discovery
  • ITSM: Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog
  • Knowledge of XML and structural programming concepts
  • Experience using the ServiceNow platform
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Strong leadership qualities with conflict management and resolution
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and influencing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and good team player. Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process and procedure as needed
  • Must be capable of working with diverse teams with varied levels of technical experience or ability
  • Serve as Trainer/Mentor to team. Ability to grow talent of team

What will your typical day look like?

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Align ServiceNow platform capabilities to business strategy and ServiceNow roadmap
  • Develop, test, and implement new capabilities on the ServiceNow platform
  • Assist with ServiceNow upgrades, action skipped changes, and create/run tests
  • Stay current on ServiceNow products and application integrated technologies
  • Configure out of the box workflows and create/maintain custom workflows
  • Integrate ServiceNow applications with 3rd party partners
  • Design and develop solutions that leverage ServiceNow module like HR, ITSM, CMDB, Knowledge, and ITOM using configuration and custom JavaScript
  • Maintain forms, reports, views, workflows, groups and roles
  • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications
  • Evaluate and configure systems for better performance
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
