Electrical Engineer Sr / Production Support / Lufkin, TX - Military Veterans

Description:Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of four Lockheed Martin business areas. We are a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. MFC develops, manufactures and supports advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems for military customers that include the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, NASA and dozens of foreign allies.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Lufkin, Texas is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for the PAC-3 missile program.

Applicant should be a proven problem solver who can multi-task in a complex interrelated environment. The applicant should have the demonstrated aptitude and skills to utilize various instruments to troubleshoot hardware failures such as Digital Multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, network analyzer and spectrum analyzer for troubleshooting electrical and/or computer equipment failures. The candidate will be responsible for working with other disciplines to resolve hardware failures, discrepancies and/or test anomalies (involving root-cause analysis, failure review boards, adequate corrective action and subsequent Q-note disposition.) resulting in the return to service of suspect electronic assemblies. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting drawing changes through the formal change process.

Travel (approximately 10-20%) to Lockheed Martin production facilities, supplier’s facilities, and customer facilities will be required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience with troubleshooting Analog and Digital Electronics
• Working knowledge of lab equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, DMM, signal Generators, spectrum analyzers
• Experience working production program
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience of PAC-3 program, Production processes, Failure Investigation, Root Cause and Corrective Actions
• Knowledge of printed wiring board and printed wiring assembly fabrication processes is desired as well as CAD tool experience for schematic capture.
• Previous MRB experience
• Experience in surface finishes for metal chassis or metallurgy would also be a desired skill.
• Candidate must possess good oral presentation, interpersonal communication, and technical writing skills. The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to work under minimum direction. The candidate must have the ability to work well in a team environment.
• The candidate should understand the concept of hardware obsolescence.
• Experience in surface finishes for metal chassis or metallurgy would also be a desired skill.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
