We seek dynamic clinician-educators to support the inpatient and outpatient clinical practice in neurology within an academic setting. The successful candidate (s) will practice at UCR and/or UCR-affiliated clinical facilities in Riverside and surrounding areas. This includes UCR clinics, affiliated hospitals, including the UCR Multiple Sclerosis Program, which is designated by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as a comprehensive multiple sclerosis care center. Fellowship training (in neuroimmunology/ multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular neurology, epilepsy, or another subspecialty) is not required. It is a preferred qualification. The successful candidate must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree and be eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. A minimum of two years of practice post residency training from an accredited residency training program is required. Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and UCR affiliated hospitals. The full salary range for the Physician Specialist-Neurologist is from $118,100 - $302,700 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure, certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. These appointments are part-time, up to 50%. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. Requirements: Educational Requirements Must possess an M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree. Required Possess a valid certificate issued by the American Medical Specialty Board as a specialist in Neurology or related field of medicine and are required to use the specialty in the work assigned. Required Minimum Requirements Must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and affiliated hospitals. Must be eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Ability to work effectively with staff and patients from diverse ethnic/racial backgrounds, educational levels, sexual orientations and identities. Ability to stay abreast of new medical knowledge, and to maintain and increase expertise and skills as relevant to clinical practice. Ability to work independently under general direction and to work collaboratively with others. Advanced communication and interpersonal skills. Strong background and skills in clinical practice, clinical teaching, and managed care. Day-to-day patient contact/rounding/care management that actively encourages and includes professional input from all members of the patient care team. 4.
