Role and responsibilities

Electrical safety competence engineer is electrical safety expert in DE organization. The job mission is to support DE product development projects to ensure the products developed meet industrial safety standards.

Education and experience

BS in electrical engineering with 5 years electrical system design experience. Or

MS in electrical engineering with 2 years electrical system design experience.   

Skills

  • Industry electrical system design experience.
  • Familiar with semiconductor equipment safety standards, such as SEMI S2, IEC, UL, NFPA, OSHA,  and etc. and know how to apply the standards in design.
  • Knowledge of safety risk assessment methodology, such as SEMI S10 and ISO 12100.
  • Experience in HV system safety is a plus.
  • Broad technical knowledge in electrical engineering and affinity with related disciplines
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment industry is also a plus; experience with ASML is even better.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Be able to communicate effectively throughout different levels within the organization.
  • Team player with team leader experience; such as plan activity, drive progress and build teams.
  • Can get people on board (influencing without formal power/negotiating skills)
  • Is able to coordinate a group of people to manager the project to meet agreed goals.
  • Willing to provide advice to design team
  • Convince design engineers with reasoning.

Other information

  • Main office is in San Jose with less than 15% travel. 
  • Sometime need work with remote office in Asia (remote)

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
