Responsibilities

 


  • Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical systems in the building.

  • Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.

  • Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.

  • Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.

  • Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment.

  • Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.

  • Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual and sound inspections.

  • Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.

  • Complete repairs and parts replacement.

  • Repair, install, adjust, or maintain machines or vehicles.

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Trade school completion (preferred)

  • Extensive knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Basic math skills

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours

  • Communication skills

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and climb ladders

  • Experience using cleaning equipment and cleaning solutions

 

Environment

 


  • Long and varied hours required occasionally

  • Ability to work mandatory physical inventory

  • Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environment

  • Ability to work in noisy environments

  • Ability to work in dusty conditions
