PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) OF POSITION

Operates equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.

A. High quality, professional work product performed with initiative, productivity, a positive attitude and behavior.

B. Performance should meet or exceed the established standards, goals, and accountabilities of the position.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

A. Operates the following equipment based on the requirements of the project:

1. Blade

2. Dozer

3. Loader

4. Scraper

5. Forklift/Telehandler

6. Crane

7. Bobcat/Skid-steer

8. Boom Lifts/Aerial Lifts

9. Roller

B. Follows prescribed safety regulations

C. Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area

D. Performs routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning

E. Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction

F. Follows work plans and pre-task cards

G. Other duties and responsibilities

D. Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel to operator equipment

E. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction,

procedure manuals, and load charts

G. Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)

H. Strong teamwork orientation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A. Equipment certifications as required

B. A minimum of one year of related experience

C. Must possess valid driver's license of proper class and necessary endorsements as required by law
