Aircraft Material Specialist - Military Veterans

STS Line Maintenance is hiring Aircraft Material Specialists in Chicago, Illinois.


Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.


This role involves receiving, tagging, identifying, handling, and sorting parts, and issuing and delivering parts to aircraft. Previous material handling experience is required. Experience with Trax, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and hazardous materials handling is a plus. Starting pay ranges from $18 to $21 per hour based on experience.


Responsibilities:



  • Receive, tag, identify, handle, and sort parts.
  • Issue and deliver parts to aircraft.
  • Manage shipping and receiving tasks.
  • Control inventory and handle hazardous materials.
  • Utilize Trax software for material management.

Skills Required:



  • Previous material handling experience.
  • Strong background in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Experience with hazardous materials handling.
  • Familiarity with Trax software is a plus.

About STS Line Maintenance:


STS Line Maintenance operates 47 stations across the U.S., Bahamas, U.K., and France, offering support services, FAA/DER engineering assistance, AOG response teams, and enhanced reliability. Skilled mechanics are available for RON maintenance, turnaround checks, non-routine discrepancy reports, and ground equipment maintenance.
