DESCRIPTION

As part of MBI's growing Transportation Practice, the Program Management Lead will be responsible for supporting the Practice in the Northeast offices primarily but also with opportunity to grow Program Management as a service on a National level. This is an opportunity to grow and develop, recruit and mentor a new department and oversee a diverse group of professionals in the planning, design and provision of construction and program management services for all types of transportaion projects.

This individual is tasked with leading client engagement to represent all of Michael Baker International's capabilities in Planning, Engineering and Construction Services as a primary responsibility. The Program Management Lead oversees all aspects of project development process from the initial planning and environmental review stages through design, construction and implementation. The Program Management Lead works on a broad range of projects with an emphasis on vehicular and rail/transit corridors. This individual closely coordinates with Office Executive Staff in the Northeast as well as appropriate staff on a National level.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the Program Management Lead for the Northeast Region.
  • Client Manager to appropriate MBI clients with a program management portfolio, leading technical marketing and proposal pursuits for the procurement of key projects.
  • Develop project scopes, fees and schedules for Program Management contracts.
  • Meet with regional agency managers, departments and senior staff to discuss Program Management project opportunities and the current needs of the agencies.
  • Participate in other client activities and national events as may be necessary to grow the business.
  • Work with our recruiting team to identify, interview and select outstanding candidates to develop and grow our Program Management staff.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience; and at least 25 years of experience in the Transportation/Program Management industry.
  • Demonstrate a track record of success in identifying, pursuing, and securing Program Management contracts.
  • Must have effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of technical specialists, clients, and public officials.
  • Knowledge and expertise in the business development process.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a collaborative manner with a diverse group will be essential.
  • Review, monitor, and understand engineering design and operational information, and to present and review this information with staff, management, and clients.
  • Set and maintain schedules and deadlines and hold yourself and others to account for the same.
  • Light area and regional travel.
  • Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential for success in this role.

COMPENSATION

The approximate compensation range for this position is $164,502 to $256,920. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
