HR Generalist - Power Delivery - Military Veterans

With over 70 years of operating experience, Primoris Power Delivery services include engineering and design, installation and maintenance, material and equipment procurement, repair of electrical transmission, distribution, substation, wireless communication, and storm restoration. The Position Proposition:

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in our Gonzales, LA area office! The HR Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the HR department, ensuring the efficient and effective management of HR operations. This role involves handling various HR functions, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HRIS management.

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training.
• Communicate with new hires before their start date to provide necessary information (e.g. work schedules and contact details).
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
• Deal with high call volume and work under pressure. Provide quality service via telephone.
• Assist employees with their paperwork from start to finish.
• Answer general information inquiries from workforce regarding applicant paperwork.
• Adhere to accepted company policy and procedures in providing services to workforce.
• Accepts change in a productive manner.
• Ability to work independently.
• Assist other departments in KPI/Metric tracking.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Educational & Minimum Requirements:

• 3 years of high-volume onboarding experience.
• 3 - 4 years of Human Resources experience.
• Experience with HRIS System.
• Familiarity with construction or utility industry (gas/power).
• Familiarity with employment paperwork.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidentiality and strong work ethic.
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.
• Great at multi-tasking.
• Able to work in a high paced environment.
• HR degree and/or SHRM certification is a plus.
