GENERAL PURPOSE:Responsible for leading teams to that provide a broad range of IT support services that include computer operations, data center operations, production control (batch scheduling), and data center hardware management. This role is responsible in providing stable and reliable IT services that are used across the corporation while continually looking for improvement and efficiency opportunities in those services. Highly visible role with IT executives and will directly interface with management across both IT and the broader organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise, including industry best practices, around various aspects of data center operations, computer operations, batch job scheduling, hardware installation and break-fix, and overall data center management. Proven track record and ability to balance desired solution end-state within program constraints and with a pragmatic lens.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible the Data Center Operations, Computer Operations, Data Center Infrastructure, and Production Scheduling in a 24/7 mission critical data center environment.
• Build and maintain a high performing team of managers, engineers, and analysts by managing workload, delegating projects, training and developing the organization through hiring and coaching.
• Will provide leadership to ensure services with their portfolio are executed within defined guidelines and meet established SLA's. Collaborate with teams to understand requirements when adding/changing services.
• Partner with IT and business leads to understand their needs to ensure service delivery requirements are met.
• Supervise and mentor direct reports and administer goals and reviews
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices. Lead the adoption of those best practices across the organization

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Undergraduate degree in information systems or a related discipline or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 10-15 years of IT retail or similar experience that includes delivering IT services and support with progressing responsibilities and influence.
• 8+ years of direct personnel IT Management experience. Proven ability to lead, develop and inspire team members.
• Physical data center experience including space planning, structured cabling, and data center mechanical and electrical systems
• Broad experience managing vendors and IT field service providers
• Strong experience managing data center operations and production scheduling. Vast experience with batch scheduling software applications. Control-M experience a plus.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Able to effectively operate with VP and above executives
• Experience managing team members with multiple levels of seniority / management
• Experience in managing a Disaster Recovery Program is a plus
• Broad Experience in managing critical data center building components such as electrical and HVAC systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
This position requires the ability to work in an office environment, including using a computer, attending meetings, working as part of a team, and the ability to communicate with team members and others. Regular attendance also is a requirement of the position.
Ability to lift 25 pounds
This role requires full-time in-office presence, including attending in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback.
