Warehouser (Day Shift) - Military Veterans

The Warehouser is responsible for receiving, identifying, storing, distributing, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping materials, supplies, components and equipment in the most efficient manner.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide quality service by following organization standards.
- Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and organized.
- Operate adequate merchandise management tools. Example: Forklifts, stock pickers, & reach trucks.
- Welcome visitors, customers, & delivery trucks alike.
- Respect and take orders from Team Lead and/or senior authority.
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedure.
- Assist with organizing warehouse space to be more efficient.
- Maintain computer and manual filing system.
- Enforce inventory controls put in place.
- Complete cycle count daily to the best of his / her ability.
- Accommodate and carefully handle fragile & elastomer accordingly.
- Enter data in inventory and logistics software program.
- Abide by the NOV SPOT ON Inventory Accuracy Golden Rule.
- "Whatever you do Electronically, make sure you do it Physically, & Whatever you do Physically, make sure you do it Electronically".
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous forklift and warehouse experience desired.
- Experience with WMS/ERP software preferred.
- Shipping and receiving experience, a plus.
- Inventory background (cycle count), a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
- Must be able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
- Ability to meet or exceed standards as established by the department.
- Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing and walking for extended periods.
- Factory environment with a large range in temperature changes.
- Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Push/Pull, and Repetitive Movement up to 12 hours daily.
- Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
