Warehouser (Day Shift) - Military Veterans

The Warehouser is responsible for receiving, identifying, storing, distributing, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping materials, supplies, components and equipment in the most efficient manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide quality service by following organization standards.
  • Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and organized.
  • Operate adequate merchandise management tools. Example: Forklifts, stock pickers, & reach trucks.
  • Welcome visitors, customers, & delivery trucks alike.
  • Respect and take orders from Team Lead and/or senior authority.
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedure.
  • Assist with organizing warehouse space to be more efficient.
  • Maintain computer and manual filing system.
  • Enforce inventory controls put in place.
  • Complete cycle count daily to the best of his / her ability.
  • Accommodate and carefully handle fragile & elastomer accordingly.
  • Enter data in inventory and logistics software program.
  • Abide by the NOV SPOT ON Inventory Accuracy Golden Rule.
    • "Whatever you do Electronically, make sure you do it Physically, & Whatever you do Physically, make sure you do it Electronically".

  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous forklift and warehouse experience desired.
  • Experience with WMS/ERP software preferred.
  • Shipping and receiving experience, a plus.
  • Inventory background (cycle count), a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
  • Must be able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
  • Ability to meet or exceed standards as established by the department.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Factory environment with a large range in temperature changes.
  • Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Push/Pull, and Repetitive Movement up to 12 hours daily.
  • Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
