Boeing Brazil is seeking Senior Electrical Power Systems Development Engineer, reporting to the Electrical Power Systems Manager, working out of the São Jose Dos Campos, Brazil office.



The Senior Electrical Power Systems Development Engineer will work with the Global Electrical Power Systems engineering team to support the development and certification of transport category airplanes. Review documentation and generate artifacts to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements, related to power generation, distribution functions, stand-by and battery, lighting, optics, and proximity sensing systems.



Position Responsibilities:



  • Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.


  • Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.


  • Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.


  • Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.


  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.


  • Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments.


  • This position will require occasional national and/or international travel.




This position is hybrid / telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):



  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil


  • Must have a degree in Engineering


  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor


  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language


  • In depth experience with Electrical Engineering




Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):



  • In depth experience with Product Development life cycle and applicable regulations.


  • In depth experience with Safety Assessment standards.


  • In depth experience with supplier environmental qualification standards (DO-160).


  • Knowledge in Agile methodology.
     



Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
