The Senior Salesforce Developer and Solution Architect is a member of a high-performing team that focuses on the development and implementation of a world-class online learning platform (LXP). The Senior Salesforce Developer and Solution Architect is part of a team responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining multiple large components of the LXP platform while establishing and using industry-class software development practices and workflows. The Senior Salesforce Developer and Solution Architect will contribute to a culture of collaboration and openness within the team and with partners. Typical Core Duties: Participate fully in software development life cycle Research, design, and implement technical solutions in Salesforce to deliver business requirements Identify opportunities to improve and simplify applications portfolio and implement related enhancements Contribute to creation and maturing of best practices within Salesforce platform Draw on relationship and technical skills to act as technical liaison to internal and external clients and to mentor junior staff Abide by and follow the Harvard University IT technical standards, policies and Code of Conduct Other duties as needed or required Basic Qualifications Minimum of five years' post-secondary education or relevant work experience Additional Qualifications and Skills Platform Developer II level of knowledge in developing, testing, and deploying solutions as well as integrating with other systems using a variety of technologies. Experience developing complex, distributed, complex platforms in Salesforce. Expert knowledge in one or more relevant development technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Lightning, SQL and SOQL Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards. Experience in using Salesforce DX for source-driven development, efficient CI/CD processes. Proficient in designing, configuring, and managing Salesforce Experience Cloud environments. Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards Certificates and Licenses Completion of Harvard IT Academy specified foundational courses (or external equivalent) preferred Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting Additional Information Please provide a cover letter with your application.
