Job Summary:

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking an APP for our Neurosurgery Practice.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Possess an active Florida license
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Intraoperative first-assist experience—or willing to learn with our teaching​
  • Desire to assist in the OR, inpatient rounding, and clinic
  • Neurosurgery experience preferred, surgical experience helpful

You will be working closely with the neurosurgeon and current experienced NP so you must be a highly motivated problem solver and team player.  You must also be competent, and have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. You will support the neurosurgeon in our shared mission of giving patients the best care possible.

To fulfill our commitment to our patients you must be capable of the following:
  • Oversee clinical functions within the office 
  • Extender for a busy neurosurgeon
  • Gatekeeper for neurosurgeon and first point of contact
  • Answer clinical questions
  • Write notes
  • Obtaining medical clearance for surgeries
  • Peer-to-peer reviews
  • Coordinating surgeries
  • Round on patients in the hospital
  • First point of contact during hospital call coverage
  • Make sure the surgeon has all the necessary set-up, instrumentation, and hardware in the Operating Room before surgery
Assisting and supporting the Neurosurgeon to ensure excellent patient care
