Adjunct Faculty, Oncology Job Posting Title: Adjunct Faculty, Oncology Job Description: The KGI School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking outstanding individuals to teach in an integrated oncology pharmacy course. Education and Experience: Applicants should have a Pharm.D. from an accredited college of pharmacy with post-graduate residency, fellowship, or equivalent experience gained over a period of at least three to five years in a healthcare setting. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in California. Clinical experience in oncology is preferred. Candidates with previous experience teaching Doctor of Pharmacy students and a track record of effective scholarship will be given preference. Candidates will be expected to have a strong commitment to innovative teaching. Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Individuals must possess knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential function of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions may be performed, with or without, reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Creating, delivering, and assessing instruction and its effectiveness for student learning in the doctor of pharmacy curriculum. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Individuals must possess knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential function of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions may be performed, with or without, reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing Experience with electronic learning management systems and testing systems (e.g., Canvas, ExamSoft). Excellent time management skills and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team of highly motivated and experienced individuals. Honesty, integrity, and commitment to maintaining high professional standards. Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Standing for extended periods of time. Ability to hear within normal parameters. Ability to bend and stoop (e.g., to file). Ability to move about. Ability to lift and carry short distances up to 20 lbs. (e.g., to lift or move office supplies, files, books, and packages).
