Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:

  • Installation, calibration, maintenance and repair of transmitters, valves, actuators, switches, analyzers, and other instrument/electrical components.
  • Maintenance, testing, installation and troubleshooting of industrial power distribution system and electrical components including feeders, breakers, switchgear, MCC's, relays, motors, batteries and generators .
  • Read and understand drawings and schematics, including electrical one-line diagrams, ladder logic diagrams, Instrument loop drawings, P&ID's, etc.
  • Support Engineering group on projects and support the Operations group with process related issues.

Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum of Associate degree in Instrumentation/Electrical and 5 years of industry related experience.
  • In lieu of Associate degree, high school diploma and minimum of 8 years of related experience required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Qualified candidates must possess primary expertise in Electrical and a working knowledge of Instrumentation/control systems.
  • Experience working in low/medium/high voltage switchgear.
  • Experience with UPS systems and battery maintenance.
  • Experience with GE power monitoring & protective relays
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word and overall good computer skills.
Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:
  • Possession of a TWIC card prior to hire date is required.
Working Conditions and Requirements:

  • Frequent exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditions
  • Repetitively standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, and climbing ladders up to 25 feet. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
  • Working conditions may include confined spaces
  • Subject to call-outs to respond to operational issues and emergencies after working hours, at night, and on weekends and holidays
  • Work in and around industrial and construction settings, which may include hazardous products, processes, materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and may require appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Reliable attendance at work
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
