Full Stack Data Engineer 4 - Military Veterans

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines and architectures
  • Create conceptual, logical, and physical models including but not limited to data dictionaries, data flows, and data model designs
  • Integrate multiple data sources for digital integration and decision support
  • Provide data engineering support to software development, systems engineering, and analysis teams
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership
  • Ensure data security and compliance

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 8+ years' experience in data engineering or related field, including experience working the front-end and the back-end of data applications
  • Intermediate or better proficiency in SQL
  • Thorough understanding of data security principles, agile methodologies, and best practices in software development and data operations.
  • Experience in data operations, data governance and data management, including data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to data security and privacy (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Energetic, motivated, self-starting, proactive
Preferred Qualifications:
  • UML experience
  • SPARQL and Python experience
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment
  • Knowledge of MDA organization, processes, and procedures
  • Understanding of the Missile Defense System, particularly Groundbased Midcourse Defense (GMD)

Salary Range - Colorado: $100,000 - $120,000
