University of California Irvine Medical Physics/Medical Imaging - Junior or Assistant Specialist 2024 The Department of Radiological Sciences, University of California, Irvine, anticipates openings for non-senate, academic term appointments as Junior Specialist or Assistant Specialist. The position involves research investigation in the areas of cardiovascular and dual energy CT. Research in this laboratory focuses on applications of medical x-ray imaging for cardiovascular disease and cancer diagnosis. Applicants with a broad background in medical physics, physics, or electrical engineering is preferred. Junior Specialist requirement: Baccalaureate degree or equivalent research experience Assistant Specialist requirements: MS Degree or relevant Bachelors degree plus 3 or more years of research experience Those who possess a strong motivation to pursue an academic medical physics career are encouraged to apply. Strong background in physics, mathematics and software or hardware development skills are essential for this research.
