What You Will Do
LANL's Post Bachelors Student Program offers paid opportunities for recent recipients of a bachelor's degree. This program provides mentoring, hands-on experience, and professional development opportunities that complement the student's chosen area of study and career goals. The successful candidate will do this work in collaboration with the training team, as well as engaging with operators, engineers, managers, and other students in areas involving training.

Your work may include but is not limited to:


  • Performing administrative and logistics related tasks in support of various training activities, resolving customer issues, utilizing the learning management system to assign, remove, and track training progress, and processing training records.


  • Scheduling, hosting, and preparing materials for various online and live (in person) trainings based on assigned project scope.


  • Supporting project management efforts that focus on data collection, metric analysis, and training requirements. Collecting and documenting requirements across programmatic areas to support the development of new tools and tracking mechanisms.


What You Need Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Experience in training, adult learning, instructional design and/or project management.


  • Experience with learning management systems and/or enterprise business systems/workflows.


  • Desire to support training programs for work performed in nuclear facilities.


Education/Experience : B.A. or B.S. in training or education completed within the last 3 years and a 3.0 Cumulative GPA or higher.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong time management skills; may include experience coordinating projects, including establishing and maintaining schedules and working in teams.


  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of organization and professionalism, learn quickly, be proactive and convey a positive nature.


  • Experience juggling the demands of multiple work priorities and working effectively under pressure.


  • Experience in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems affecting facility operations and operational quality assurance.


  • Knowledge of business and operations systems and standard software applications (i.e., Microsoft and Adobe products). Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and provide guidance on use of LANL business systems (i.e., Oracle, UTrain, Issues Management, etc.).


Work Location : The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management. Some flexibility to work-from-home may be considered.

Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2 . No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.

New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
