Program Specialist (Senior/Lead) - Military Veterans

Amentum is now hiring for several Program Specialist (Senior) positions in support of the Product Director Sensors - Aerial Intelligence (PD SAI) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment PD SAI core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of PD SAI and its associated Product Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within PD SAI.

This position is pending funding.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:

• Manages and performs work involving project milestones and budgets.
  
  
• Provides advice and guidance to program and line managers on interpretation and formation of technical, functional and program management strategies.
  
  
• Reviews individual project progress, measuring performance and recommending corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost as well as overall program accomplishments.
  
  
• Formulates alternative action proposals on the basis of review findings.
  
  
• Documents and provides results of specific business process re-engineering initiatives and alternative action proposals.
  
  
• Monitors individual project objectives, milestones, and budgets within the overall program objectives.
  
  
• Prepares correspondence relevant to projects/programs.
  
  
• Responsible for a variety of administrative, business and operational functions necessary to run a government program(s) efficiently. documentation, and spend plan management.
  
  
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related field.
  
  
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in or supporting other similar Government programs (10 years of military service can be substituted as relevant experience).
  
  
• Must have an active TOP SECRET Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET Government Clearance.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability in Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  
  
• Past experience working in PD SAI or PEO IEW&S systems / projects.
  
  
• Knowledge of DoD funding process, program office estimate (POE) development, and budget forecasting. Experience with DoD 5000, FAR, DFARS, and AFARS.
