Customer Sales and Collections Representative - Military Veterans

RESPONSIBILITIES

Howmet Aerospace in Rochester, NY, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as a customer service representative with a dual focus on sales of manufactured parts and collections activities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting customers with their part needs while also managing collections efforts for past due accounts. This position requires a balance of sales expertise, customer service skills, and a proactive approach to collections to contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in identifying and purchasing pre-manufactured parts from our inventory.
  • Provide detailed product information technical specifications and recommendations to meet customer needs.
  • Sell finished goods to reduce DOH
  • Meet or Exceed sales targets through effective communication and product knowledge.
Collections:
  • Contact customers with past due accounts in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Implement strategic collections approaches to recover outstanding balances while preserving positive customer relationships.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and work collaboratively with customers to find mutually beneficial solutions.
Customer Service/Sales:
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues related to orders, and ensuring a seamless purchasing experience.
  • Sell already made finished goods to reduce DOH.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts.
Documentation:
  • Maintain meticulous records of customer interactions, sales transactions, and collection activities.
  • Update customer accounts with relevant information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Communication:
  • Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs, provide updates on orders, and assist with any post-sales concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline communication and address customer inquiries efficiently.


QUALIFICATIONS

*Qualifications for Internal Candidates
  • 3 years of experience in customer service and commercial sales, preferably in a technical or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant software applications and tools.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Additional education in business, sales or a related field is a plus.
Salary Range: $63,500 to $76,000 depending on experience
