Army General Rotary Wing AM-2 Aircraft Mechanic UH-60, CH-47, AH-64 - (FAA A&P / FCC) - Stuttgart, Germany - Military Veterans

The Army General Rotary Wing AM-2 Aircraft Mechanic (UH-60, AH-64, CH-47) FAA A&P or FCC performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.

  • Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience is required for Germany (TESA) approval.

  • A Valid (FAA) A&P certificate OR FCC License (with Elements 1 and 3) is Required.


  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a US Govt Clearance and/or the NAC-I T1 Public Trust. Valid US Passport for deployment.

  • Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.

  • Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.

  • Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.

  • Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.

  • Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.

  • Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.

  • Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft Technical Manuals, Maintenance Information and Action Messages and all technical guidance provided through government official representatives.

  • Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.

  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent is Required.

  • Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience is required for Germany (TESA) approval.

  • A Valid (FAA) A&P certificate OR FCC License (with Elements 1 and 3) is Required.


  • Requirements With a Valid (FAA) A&P certificate, Two (2) years' aircraft maintenance experience, with Two (2) years on the assigned MDS aircraft being serviced (UH-60, CH-47, AH-64).

  • All MDS specific experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.


  • Without a valid A&P certificate, must possess or be willing and able to obtain an FCC License (with Elements 1 and 3), AND have Three (3) years aircraft maintenance experience, Three (3) years rotary wing experience and a minimum of Two (2) years on the MDS Mission Design Series aircraft being serviced; UH-60, AH-64 or CH47 Is Required.


Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Security Clearance, (NAC-I T1) Public Trust. US Citizenship is required to obtain a US Govt Clearance and/or the NAC-I T1 Public Trust. (Interim NAC-I approval is required prior to deployment).

  • Must possess a Valid US Passport; Required for travel to Germany.


Germany Specific:
  • TESA Approval: (German Government Approval) Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; with 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience in the last 5 years.

    Travel: As required in support of task order.

Additional and Physical requirements
  • Possess good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft system.

  • Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and associated systems principles to complete properly all probable work task.

  • Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.

  • Able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair of replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.

  • Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.

  • Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.

  • Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.
