MUST have HVAC (Field) Experience, No Exceptions

Telecom construction PM or CM experience preferred

*This is a fully remote position

Responsibilities

The Project Manager assumes a leadership role and provides guidance to project staff in the development and analysis of complex schedules on large and design-build projects. Experienced and fully competent in the profession, this individual works independently, and acts as a resource for colleagues.

In addition, you will:


  • Minimum 2 years of PM experience required.

  • Leads and promotes the Mastec safety culture on site, ensures site safety standards are met or exceeded, and leads the development of Site Safety Specific Procedures.

  • Facilitates the creation and implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP), including quality assurance (QA) requirements, and leads the QA program.

  • Smartsheet proficient preferred.

  • Creates and maintains project schedules (plans) and updates all stake holders weekly.

  • Works cooperatively with leadership on business partner selection, procurement and negotiations.

  • Owns and communications the change management process.

  • Leads set up of large project systems and procedures, including chart of accounts, cost accounting system, and project directory. Leads management of budget for design consultants.

  • Manage and lead internal and external project teams to ensure on-budget and on-schedule delivery.

  • Report and communicate to the external customer(s) and internal management each day.

  • Build processes and teams required to deliver all project requirements.

  • Coordinate with the Project Construction Lead for timing, execution, and closeout of individual projects.

  • Lead weekly meetings with the client and project team.

  • Works with Construction Management on and direct them on the overall tasks needed to be completed.

  • Track completion, close-out process, and ensure accurate invoicing of each project once complete.

  • Approve timesheets and daily logs.

  • Ensure the crew has the correct equipment needed for the project.

  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications

About You:

  • 2+ years of HVAC field experience (maintenance/repair) - MUST HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED

  • 2+ years of Project Management experience

  • Safety is a part of your day to day

  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality

  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work

  • You are looking for long-term projects

  • You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • You have 3 years of construction project experience.

  • You have advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Intermediate experience in schedule management.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.

  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.

  • You have precise hand-eye coordination.

  • Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships.

  • Able to identify and distinguish colors.

  • Able to read blueprints accurately.

  • Able to communicate progress, highlight issues, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Possess safety training and knowledge of OSHA requirements.

  • Ability to commute to work remotely
