Assistant Professor, History of Technology | Yale University - Military Veterans

The Yale University Department of History intends to appoint a tenure-track assistant professor in the History of Technology to begin on July 1, 2025. Applicants may work in any geography and time period and will be affiliated with the Program in the History of Science and Medicine. Applicants should have strong potential for excellence and achievement in scholarship and in undergraduate and graduate teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to teach an undergraduate lecture course plus undergraduate and graduate seminars in their area of specialty and in broader areas meeting the needs of the Program and the Department. All applicants should submit a letter of application that addresses current research, future research ideas, and possible teaching; a CV; contact information for three potential letters of recommendation (to be requested for candidates that advance); and samples of written work prepared for blind reading consisting of a chapter- or article-length writing sample plus a one-to-two-page abstract of the applicant's current book-length project.
