Facility Maintenance Technician - Military Veterans

In this role, you will be working to maintain the technology found in a Distribution Center. You will work in a team to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing for the building and building operations, including the automated material handling systems (conveyors, forklifts, etc.) This is different from a role where someone demonstrates specific core expertise. This role requires a "Swiss Army Knife" approach to working on all systems and technologies. If you are the kind of person who can "figure out technical problems" because you are naturally curious, you will love this role.
The company seeks a responsible person who handles their duties independently, but can work well as a good teammate. The site operates three shifts, and you will be working on the first shift. You do not rotate in this role. You can stay on that specific shift until you've noted it.
Do you think you're a good fit for this role? Understanding essential mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic processes would be best. You should be familiar with working with general shop tools. It would be best to have a basic comfort level when reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting using a multimeter. Experience in carpentry (basic level) would be great. Also, if you have any experience working on or repairing material handling equipment like forklifts, please bring that up in the interview.
You should be someone who can be handed a technical maintenance task and feel confident that if you don't know how to get it done, you'll find a way. That is the kind of candidate they are looking for. Lastly, and most importantly, you should demonstrate a strong focus on safety. Locking out/tagging out of systems will be crucial to your team's success.
Base salary, $65 - $70K plus overtime. Medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401k, and company retirement plan are offered.
