Non-Tenure Track Assistant Clinical Professor   Director, Applied Behavior Analysis Program   The Saint Louis University School of Social Work in St. Louis, Missouri invites applications for our Director of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program at the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor, non-tenure track.  This is a permanent full-time, 12-month appointment with teaching and administrative responsibilities with an ideal start in August 2024.  Saint Louis University is a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service.  The School of Social Work was created at Saint Louis University in 1930, and U.S. News and World Report recently ranked the School in the top 13% of programs nationally.  Offering degrees in social work (BSSW, MSW, PhD), criminology & criminal justice (BA, MA), and applied behavior analysis (MS) .   The Applied Behavior Analysis Program additionally offers an Applied Behavior Analysis post-graduate certificate, a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a dual degree option, with a Master of Social Work (clinical concentration) and a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis.  Our students come from across the country to enroll in our program for its rigor and diverse training.  Our graduates have an 80-100% pass rate on the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam, well above the national average.  Administrative Responsibilities   As the position includes the role of Director of the Applied Behavior Analysis program, the successful candidate will also be expected to engage in the development, organization, and monitoring of required policies and practices related to curriculum and program approval for accreditation with the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI); provide service to the school, university, and community; and participate in student advisement.  The ideal candidate and colleague is committed to advancing the ABA program through collaboration with other disciplines through teaching, practice, or scholarship with social work, criminology and criminal justice, education, or other related fields.  The ideal candidate must also possess a breadth of knowledge and practice in the field of ABA, as well as an interest in utilizing behavior analytic expertise to address mission-driven activities around social justice.  A colleague and leader who embraces self-initiated collaboration and the ability to build partnerships through networking, marketing, and recruitment of students is preferred.     Additional Responsibilities   Mentoring and Advising:   Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional development, offering guidance on career paths, licensure, and post-graduate opportunities.  Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student engagement and participation.  Research and Scholarship:   Engage in scholarly activities, such as community education and trainings, to stay current with developments in behavior analytic practice, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.    Professional Development:   Participate in professional organizations, conferences, and workshops to stay abreast of emerging trends and maintain professional relevance.  Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching and clinical expertise.  Required Qualifications and Experience:   Candidates must possess a PhD in social work, psychology (experimental or clinical), special education, or a closely related field.  Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) preferred    Candidates must possess the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential and be eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri.      Strong teaching and leadership skills related to Applied Behavior Analysis content are required.  A minimum of two years teaching experience at the college level is required.   Preferred Qualifications and Experience:   Preference will be given to candidates who can provide expertise in autism-related services.   Preference will be given to candidates internal to the University to fill this immediate need.  Experience with professional presentations at the local or national level is preferred, as well as contributions to the field through publications and research.  Working knowledge of, and experience with, the accreditation process is preferred.     Saint Louis University is nationally recognized for its community-engaged research, and rapidly growing global health and well-being programs.  The successful candidate will find opportunities for collaboration in a productive School portfolio of projects across many topics and with university and community partners.  SLU offers competitive salary, start-up packages , and benefits.   Interested candidates must submit:   Curriculum vitae or resumé  Cover letter detailing qualifications related to practice, teaching, and leadership experience  Name and contact information of three professional references  All applications should be submitted online at
