High School diploma or the equivalent is required. Associates degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical engineering is preferred. In addition, a minimum of 6 years directly related experience is required. J-STD001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

The Advanced Quality Inspector must have a minimum of 3 years directly related experience in a J-STD
001 Class 3 environment inspecting electronic assemblies in a manufacturing environment. Candidate is required to have certified training and experience to J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610. Experience with reading design drawings, performing inspections and documenting data. Must have experience using magnifying devices and instruments, i.e., calipers, micrometers, etc.

Responsibilities include performing a variety of workmanship and configuration inspections and measurements assessing compliance to requirements. Position requires frequent use of a magnifying scope, use of a computer and desk sitting. Periodic visual testing will be required. Close attention to details of inspections performed is required.

Utilizing your distinct knowledge of electrical theory, the Senior Advanced Quality Inspector will inspect parts, materials, assemblies and equipment for compliance to specified requirements and perform real-time defect evaluation. This will require operating and monitoring automated test equipment as well as preparing QA documentation and verifying corrective action implementation and rework. We will rely on your strong communication skills to interface with coworkers, internal customers and potentially suppliers.

What you bring to the table:
  • A High School diploma or the equivalent required; Associates degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years directly related experience
  • J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required
  • Distinct knowledge of ESD control, workmanship standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and statistics and process control techniques
  • Skilled in the set-up of basic electronic test configurations or mechanical test configurations and basic mechanical measurement tools

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $31.87 - USD $34.18 /Hr.
