This position will be located in Arlington, Texas and following a hybrid work model. Hybrid (Combination of work from home and in-assigned office location)

Responsibilities

About the role:

As a Fleet Services Operational Excellence Consultant, you will assist in driving quality-control and standardization of Fleet Services processes and policies. You will supports alignment of the product, customer experience, operational agility and business process management; providing appropriate recommendations and supporting documentation and mitigate risk. You will also work with the AVP Fleet Services - Operational Excellence to improve internal and external processes and practices to provide fleet business customers with the best value possible.

In this role you will :

  • Assist and support the AVP Fleet Services - Operational Excellence with business process management, including maintaining an up-to-date inventory of process maps along with other process management documentation
  • Establishes and maintains policies and procedures to mitigate operational risks
  • Collaborates with audit and other control functions to drive operational excellence
  • Supports development of process documentation for business processes
  • Supports efforts to drive continuous improvement across business processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures


Qualifications

  • Supports development of process documentation for business processes
  • Supports efforts to drive continuous improvement across business processes
  • Must have advanced working experience in process excellence, auditing, quality assurance, training or relevant work experience
  • Must be advanced at analyzing and presenting data in a meaningful manner
  • Excellent knowledge of finance, statistics, accounting and/or financial services
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with all levels of management
  • Use good judgment in making independent decisions
  • Must be deadline and detail oriented and ability to work with minimal supervision

Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required, Master's Degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred
  • 2-3 years proven experience in process management, strategic planning, risk management and change management required
  • Experience with fleet reporting preferred

OUR BUSINESS & OUR HISTORY

GM Financial was founded as AmeriCredit in September 1992 and opened its first branch office in Fort Worth, Texas. On October 1, 2010, AmeriCredit Corp. was acquired by General Motors Company and renamed General Motors Financial Company, Inc. (GM Financial). In 2011, GM Financial acquired FinanciaLinx to serve GM dealers and customers throughout Canada.  In November 2012, GM Financial announced the acquisition of Ally Financial Inc.’s international operations. The majority of those acquisitions were finalized in 2013, with the remaining market, a 35 percent equity interest in a joint venture in China, acquired in January 2015.  In October 2017, GM Financial completed the sale of its European financial subsidiaries and branches as part of General Motors’ sale of the Opel and Vauxhall businesses to Peugeot S.A.

 

GM Financial provides auto finance solutions to 14,000 dealers worldwide, with earning assets of $93 billion at September 30, 2018.
