Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Special Procedure Tech/Mammography Tech-Woodhull at 100 N Portland Ave, Brooklyn, NY 

In this role, the mammography tech will work under the supervision of the radiologist and supervisor performing all types of studies, and can follow patients from imaging to biopsy.

Job Responsibilities:


    • Prepares room and materials required for the requested procedure.

    • Cleans and disinfects room/equipment after each patient use.

    • Follows prescribed procedures in administering general and specific xrays adjust equipment, exposure time, arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position and adjust lead shielding.

    • Observes patient and equipment during exam and report any unusual occurrences.

    • Develops film in accordance to standard procedures.

    • Maintains stock supplies and assists administrators in determining quantities required.

    • Checks images for quality: analog and digital.

    • Works as a general radiographer as needed.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • NYS license

  • ARRT registered 

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in general radiology and mammography.

  • Knowledgeable in the use of PACS system.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $85,636.15 - $105,785.35 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
