BJC Medical Group has both General and Interventional Cardiology opportunities to join our growing team of Cardiologists at Christian Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. 

 

Recently U.S. News & World Report ranked Christian Hospital as #11 in Missouri which puts them in the top 7% of all hospitals in the state.  Christian Hospital was also nationally ranked as “high performing” in the clinical specialty of geriatrics and multiple conditions including heart attack, heart failure and stroke.

Practice Overview:

  • Join 9 full-time Cardiologists and 4 Cardiology Nurse Practitioners
  • Growing Structural Program
  • Echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography (including 4D), and stress testing
  • Advanced CTO management and structural and functional MRI services

Position Highlights: 

  • Dedicated Medical Assistant and ample experienced support staff
  • Mon-Fri Clinic; 36 patient contact hours per week
  • Flexible schedule with busy clinic along with inpatient consults 
  • Dedicated APP for inpatient rounding support
  • Established group with great mentorship available
  • Shared call schedule of 1:4 with Nurse Practitioner call support on the weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages the medical care of assigned patients.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws.
  • Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service. Assists in the learning needs of residents and students as assessed.
