Journeyman AFSIM Modeling and Simulation Analyst 3 - Military Veterans

Torch Technologies is currently seeking a Journeyman AFSIM Modeling and Simulation Analyst. This position will provide simulation-based analysis and engineering support for tactical missile systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Simulation Development: Develop and enhance simulations for tactical missile systems.
  • Simulation Execution: Conduct simulation runs to gather data and insights.
  • Analysis Tool Development: Create tools for analyzing simulation data.
  • System Performance Analysis: Assess the performance of missile systems through simulation.
  • Documentation and Presentation: Develop documentation and presentations to communicate findings.
  • Flight Test Support: Assist in planning and executing flight tests.
  • Collaboration: Work within a team composed of Government and contractor personnel.

Job Requirements

  • Education: A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related science field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Security Clearance: A final DoD TS/SCI secret security clearance is required. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in the candidate being ineligible for this position.
  • Programming Skills: Experience with Fortran, Ada, C/C++, Matlab, Python, and Linux.
  • Simulation Experience: Minimum of two years' experience using Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) to assess military systems.
  • Technical Background: Knowledge of aerodynamics, propulsion systems, control systems, sensors, six degrees of freedom, Monte-Carlo techniques, test planning and execution, configuration management, and verification/validation of models.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Team and Independent Work: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly respond to changing engineering challenges and mission requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
