Sr Site Acq Specialist - Military Veterans

Overview

The SR SAQ Specialist supports Regional Leads by managing and coordinating all aspects of leasing, zoning, permitting, and working with landlords to accomplish equipment modifications and/or new site builds.

This position drives the completion of site acquisition functions through lifecycle of project into construction. This position leads, motivates, directs, and assists all site acquisition team efforts and develops strategies that meet and exceed client expectations. Develops strategies that meet and exceed client expectations. Manage day to day project level schedules, financials, status internal/external, customer relationship. Manages baseline responsibilities for successful projects. Active participant in the day to day work leading towards POE and P&L adherence. This position supervises the activities of numerous employees engaged in meeting the customer objectives, and is responsible for motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.

Remote position but candidates must live close to Dallas/Fort Worth, TX and be able to drive to do site walks and meet with jurisdictions.

Salary Range $60,000- $65,000, Depending on Experience.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the project budget, project financial tracking and reporting, and project close-out

  • Stay aligned and in step with Customer's monthly POE

  • Engage with scoping team to ensure proper SOW is leased


  • Handle site issues pre and post construction.

  • Provide guidance and direction to site specific site acquisition issues as they arise with the Site Acquisition Specialists

  • Mentor Site Acquisition Specialists in all areas of site acquisition

  • Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress

  • Set timelines for each site acquisition milestone and hold Site Acquisition Specialist's accountable to reaching those milestone dates

  • Responsible for managing the financials for each project

  • Prepare and present daily and weekly update reports to client and company personnel.

  • Provide Site specific updating as needed to the client.

  • Manage local and national staff; drive team toward company and client goals.

  • Establish goals, provide guidance and performance evaluations for Site Acquisition Specialists

  • Provide staff with the tools and strategies to be successful and self-sufficient.

  • Liaison between site acquisition team and RF, construction and compliance

  • Receive updates and provide forecasts for all site acquisition functions.

  • Manage and set priorities for Site Acquisition Specialists, as well as for external vendors.

  • Negotiate pricing and manage external vendor payment.

  • Problem solve site acquisition problem issues

  • Handle all aspects of site acquisition


  • Ensure projects meet milestones, schedules and other timeline requirements

  • Provide timely project status updates to supervisor

  • Attend meetings and conference calls with the customer or vendors

  • Prepare and present daily and weekly update reports to client and company personnel

  • Provide Site specific updating as needed to the client

  • Develop, maintain, and grow working relationships with customers and vendors

  • Problem solve site acquisition issues

  • Analyze project finances to reconcile variances in project budgets and vendor purchase orders

  • Responsible for managing the financials for each individual project

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, or a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in a related field

  • Three to Five years' experience in project management or Senior Site Acquisition Specialist positions, and/or related functional areas in a communication systems company

  • Highly developed working knowledge of business process, including financial management of a project

  • Highly developed working knowledge of site acquisition process, including A&E, regulatory compliance and data management

  • Strong financial knowledge/training

  • Experience in working with high volume projects

  • Experience managing, mentoring and leading a team of Site Acquisition Specialists

  • Strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills

  • Project Management scheduling experience

  • Working knowledge of the wireless industry

  • Risk management, contingency planning and decision making abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex or sensitive issues to favorable resolution

  • Excellent analytical abilities, team-building, and project management skills

  • Expert in Excel, Microsoft Office and usage of databases

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Additional duties as assigned
