The I&O Team (Infrastructure & Operations) is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer for its Cloud Services team who will work a hybrid schedule at our Aurora, IL location. Accountable for applying a deep understanding of engineering practices to streamline business process in addition to ensuring corporate security and governance .

Please note: This opportunity will be located in Aurora, IL, and will work a hybrid schedule.

The role:

At Entegris, a Sr Systems Engineer will focus on developing, maintaining , supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly IT infrastructure, InfoSec , and cloud operations . This role may be assigned leadership and mentorship responsibilities and possesses a strong automation and scripting background.

What you'll do:

• Ability to operate at varying levels including IT Infrastructure strategy, technical design, and implementation
  
  

• Collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders and solutions around business process
  
  

• Capable of collaborating with stakeholders and project leaders to understand requirements, and set expectations for deliverables
  
  

• Serves as the primary support for infrastructure ( endpoint, systems, storage, network, and security)
  
  

• Automate the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure / network related tasks and devices
  
  

• Provides technical expertise in the areas of system design, installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  
  

• Manage effective relationships and work in partnership with various IT and business teams, vendors , etc., for the implementation and support of infrastructure and networking products and services
  
  

• Plan and prepare for disaster recovery, storage solution design , and provide performance analysis relating to data replication
  
  

• Provide, create, and update documentation on new or existing systems that include equipment lists / d iagrams , and budgetary and system specifications
  
  

• Provide training and technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship to IT staff and end-users when applicable
  
  
  

What we seek:

• 8 + years of IT Infrastructure experience or Data Center Operations experience (IT infrastructure HCI, SDN, InfoSec , cloud comput e , disaster/recovery, etc.)
  
  

• 8 + years of VMware experience ( ESXi , VCF, vSAN , vSphere, HCX, SDDC, NSX & ARIA)
  
  

• 5 + years of cloud e ngineering experience ( p rivate/ h ybrid c loud )
  
  

• 5 + years of automation and scripting experience (PowerShell, PowerCLI , SQL etc.)
  
  

• 5 + years' experience working with IaaS & PaaS and native c loud service s (Azure / GCP )
  
  

• Experience planning and executing projects that require contribution from cross-functional team members
  
  

• Experience with private cloud infrastructure design and implementation
  
  

• E xcellent verbal and written communication skills- this role is heavily collaborative
  
  
  

Preferr ed Qualifications:

• Experience in the Semiconductor or manufacturing vertical including experience with operational technology (OT) and industrial networks preferred
  
  

• Dell VxRail Design/Build and deployment
  
  

• High-Performance Compute (HPC) design experience a plus!
