Range Systems Analyst Associate 3362 - Military Veterans

This position is located at (VSFB) Vandenberg Space Force Base Ca.

This position is not eligible for a telecommuting schedule.

Essential Functions


  • Track status of department projects, issues, and improvement initiatives.

  • Support the organization's critical processes to include training and qualification, crew certification, document control, and technical library management.

  • Participate in studies, preparing action plans, writing reports, and conducting briefings.

  • Collect data, and support analysis and root cause analysis efforts.

  • Accurately update and maintain databases and data collections systems.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of work processes and efficiencies within a team environment, work with management team to implement changes, track implementation progress, and report back to management.

  • Create, edit, proofread, manage/incorporate redlines, and format a variety of business documents while adhering to strict change history retention requirements and formatting guidelines.

  • Create, format, edit, and review small to large Excel workbooks, ensuring accurate data, correct application of formulas, while ensuring comments and analysis match the content.

  • Provide support to and participate in special projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Associate degree in business, computer science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Zero to two (2) or more years' experience performing analysis, project management, process mapping, critical thinking, and/or problem-solving related work.

  • Proficient in use of Adobe Acrobat Pro, primarily editing, creating forms, and working with digital signatures in PDF documents.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel, Teams, Access).

  • Preferrable MS Office experience:

  • Microsoft Word templates, styles, and editing tools
  • Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, charts, calculations, advanced formulas, macros, etc.) and the ability to efficiently to process large quantities of data relevant to business tasks
  • Microsoft Access (or SQL) and the ability to design and maintain database tools or use of Microsoft Visio and/or Power BI

    • Experience collecting, organizing, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets to make informed decisions, preferred

    • Knowledge and understanding of Western Range operations, maintenance, and systems utilization concepts, preferred

    • Experience designing and maintaining database tools (Access or SQL), or use of Microsoft Visio and/or Power BI, preferred



    Additional Eligibility Qualifications


    • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.

    • Valid U.S. Driver's License.

    The salary range for this role is $66,560 - 81,064; however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training and preferred skills, and knowledge.
