What you will be doing

We are looking for a Business Intelligence and Safety Analytics Manager who will be responsible for connecting data and information, performing analytics, and providing key insights to identify and measure opportunities in order to develop sustainable solutions into a cohesive and purpose-directed occupational safety program. The position will be reporting to the Safety Director: Compliance and Analytics.

The position will be based in Boise, ID Pleasanton, CA, or one of our main regional offices.

Main responsibilities

  • Design, optimize and streamline all data architecture to align with future Business Intelligence initiatives.
  • Facilitate data architecture and design for business intelligence and automation initiatives sources using internal and external data, Safety data held within Salesforce objects, third party audit data, etc.
  • Develop a robust tool linking multiple data channels to monitor performance and develop leading indicators for employee and customer incidents and develop insights of effectiveness of safety programs.
  • Implemented rigorous controls to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Identify and lead process improvement activities and disseminate summary reports and key findings to management.
  • Develop presentations to provide updates to internal stakeholders and executive level management.
  • Working knowledge or experience in one, or more, Big Data Technologies such as (Snowflake, Azure SQL DW, BigQuery, Cloudera, etc.). Strong preference for Azure experience.
  • Strong exposure to other Microsoft Low/No-Code tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
  • Analyze data using a variety of computational and data analysis methodologies to arrive at conclusions and to make recommendations to drive changes to policies, procedures, and specifications.
  • Analyze business processes, fit-gap analysis, inefficiencies, and risks to determine appropriate process and system design.
  • Serve as a technical analyst and manager for occupational safety projects.
The salary range is $95,000 to $119,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

What we are searching for
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Economics or related field.
  • 5+ years of work experience performing applied quantitative analysis utilizing large data sets (retail and/or eCommerce experience preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in building and deploying BI/Analytics solution
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Power BI, Oracle and Salesforce platforms
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to analyze complex enterprise data elements
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills to manage and execute large scale projects with high financial impact
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Expert Level skills in SQL
  • Expert Level Skills in Power BI
  • Working knowledge or experience in one, or more, Big Data Technologies such as (Snowflake, Azure SQL DW, BigQuery, Cloudera, etc.). Strong preference for Azure experience
  • Strong exposure to other Microsoft Low/No-Code tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse
  • Handling and utilizing various file types (.csv, JSON, XML, Parquet, Delta Lake)
  • Proven experience in delivering Master Data Management, Data Governance
  • Data analytics, big data driven trend analysis, insights development
  • Working experience with relational databases, information, and insights
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Skills to translate complex data to simple reports and insights
  • Ability to define problems and translate findings into a business message
