Assistant/Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems and Cybersecurity Position Purpose The primary focus of this full-time faculty position is to teach undergraduate courses and some graduate-level courses in the Computer Information Systems and Cybersecurity programs on campus in Henniker, New Hampshire. Additional position responsibilities include committee work, academic advising, program updates, and assessment of the BS CIS and BS Cybersecurity majors. Candidates must have evidence of successful teaching ability, demonstrated knowledge and use of effective and innovative pedagogy, the ability to work with diverse student populations and faculty, and a commitment to active learning and experiential education. Essential Duties Summary Teach CIS undergraduate core classes such as Introduction to Programming Logic Teach Cybersecurity undergraduate core classes such as Cybersecurity Foundations, Networking, Databases, and Network Defense; Teach some graduate courses in CIS, Cybersecurity, and Data Analytics, and assist with Executive Residency programs; Oversee undergraduate CIS and Cybersecurity student advising, undergraduate internships, and employer and industry relationships; Participate in new program development, on-campus program activities, and off-site field trips as part of student experiential education opportunities. Required Qualifications Disciplinary knowledge in the field of Computer Information Systems or Information Technology; Disciplinary knowledge in the field of Cybersecurity; Demonstrated evidence of successful teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels; Adept at teaching courses in different modalities in person, hybrid, online and asynchronous; Terminal degree in CIS/IT/Cybersecurity discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in specialty area or earned masters degree in related field. Preferred Qualifications Professional industry certifications; Related industry experience; Established industry network; Evidence of successful grant procurement related to CIS/Cybersecurity; Demonstrated ability to work in a team to achieve project goals.
